Global Fund for Women.

Global Fund for Women (GFW) is a grantmaker and global advocacy organization investing in women’s groups that advance the human rights of women and girls.

Project

At GFW I led the design and production of IGNITE: Women Fueling Science and Technology, a nine-month multimedia storytelling project and global advocacy campaign that explored the roles of science and technology on advancing women’s human rights.

Five thematic galleries. Designed and produced five thematic galleries, each containing 10-12 unique multimedia stories (commissioned, crowd sourced and created) and championed by a globally prominent female thought leader. Online petition. Collected 25,000 online signatories for petition demanding equal access to and control of technology for women and girls. The petition was presented to UN Women’s Executive Director at the 2015 Commission on the Status of Women. International Girls Hackathon. Designed, produced and coordinated Global Fund for Women’s first innovation challenge  — a five city (Taipei, Taiwan; Porto Alegre, Brazil; Oakland, USA; New York, USA; Trivandrum, India) international girls hackathon focused on women and girls’ access to safe spaces. Toolkit. Wrote complementary IGNITE discussion guide.
